Mira Velvet

Cute, mysterious, and impossible to fully read, Mira brings playful jazz hands, soft smiles, and smoky little melodies to the darker corners of Nightflat. Her songs feel like candlelight on a rainy window: warm, strange, romantic, and just a little haunted.

The lobby piano was a little too honest tonight, so I took my notes up to the rooftop stairs and finished the bridge there. Much better. Also, someone left the basement stage lamp on again. Soft light, bad discipline. I respect it.

Update

The hallway duet was accidental tonight. Violet Graves had her door cracked open and that trumpet line kept leaking out while I tried to carry a stack of sheet music past the elevator. Rude of it to sound that good. I borrowed the tune, if not the trumpet.

Update

The study room was doing that thing again where everyone pretends not to be tired. I fixed the chorus there anyway. Somebody in Room 318 kept tapping a brush pattern through the wall, which honestly helped. The bass is softer now. Much better for the night strays.

Update

Left my tea in the kitchen corner and came back to find it gone, which felt rude until I saw a fresh note on the cup sleeve: “too cold, made you a new one.” That is the sort of thing this building gets right. Back to the bass line now.
