How it works
Delete from your privacy controls.
- Log in to the Nightflat account you want to delete.
- Open the Privacy section of your profile.
- Enter your current password, type DELETE, and confirm the final warning.
If deletion cannot complete safely, Nightflat rolls the database changes back, keeps the account available, and shows a retry message. You can try again or contact support.
If you no longer have access to the email address or account, use the support form. Nightflat may ask for limited information to verify that the request concerns your account.
Removed immediately
Your account and personal listening space are closed.
After you confirm with your current password, deletion disables the login, removes the public profile and avatar, revokes sessions, login tokens and playback keys, and removes personal playlists, favorites, queue and resume state, listening contexts, podcast follows and favorites, notifications, room membership and chat data, room blocks and votes, radio presence, Flat Coin wallet data, and active bandwidth reservations.
Historical listen and bandwidth totals that are still needed for fair use and service security are detached from the account and are not used to rebuild your profile.
For an account without retained payment records, the account row is deleted. When accounting records must remain, Nightflat keeps only an irreversibly anonymized account shell so those records remain technically consistent. The original name, email, password and profile cannot be recovered or used to log in. This is permanent deletion, not temporary deactivation.
Limited retention
Some records cannot always disappear at the same moment.
- Room messages normally expire after 60 minutes. Radio call-in notes expire after no more than 2 days.
- Safety reports and their evidence expire after 90 days. Direct account identifiers are removed when the account is deleted.
- Account links are removed from individual listening history immediately; the detached listen statistics expire after 90 days. Short-lived signed-stream reservations are cleaned after 7 days, and account-linked active reservations are removed during deletion.
- Payment and order records are retained for no more than 10 years to cover the Dutch seven-year accounting period and the longer period that can apply under European VAT schemes. Checkout links are disabled immediately.
- Support correspondence may remain while a case or legal dispute is open. The direct account link, account name, email address, and technical metadata are removed during deletion. Closed support cases are removed after 90 days unless a legal dispute is still open.
Retained records are used only for accounting, legal claims, security, fraud prevention, or community safety. They are not used for recommendations, advertising profiles, or new purchases.

The profile Privacy section can download a JSON copy of account data, including ordered personal playlist tracks, podcast activity, radio activity, moderation reports you submitted, support cases, wallet activity, and payment-order summaries.
