Episode: The Light That Went Out
Welcome to Mystery Chronicals on Nightflat. Tonight, we travel to a place where the sea does not whisper. It waits.
Far out beyond the western edge of Scotland, where the Atlantic turns black under winter clouds, there is a small group of islands called the Flannan Isles. Rocks, grass, cliffs, birds, wind... and in the year 1900, a lighthouse standing alone above the sea. A white tower on Eilean Mor, built to protect ships from the darkness.
But one December night, the light went out.
Not dimmed. Not delayed. Not hidden by mist.
Gone.
And when men finally came to ask why, they found the lighthouse empty.
Three keepers had been living there. Three keepers had been working there. Three keepers had been expected to answer the horn, greet the relief boat, and prepare the station for handover.
But nobody answered. Nobody waved. Nobody came down the path.
Only the lighthouse remained.
